April Favourites

I can't believe it's already May! Where has this year gone?
I hope you all had a great month; I've been quite busy with work this month, and have another two more weeks where I'll be struggling to post :(
At my work I don't wear much makeup at all - I work at a swimming pool!
So my favourites this month are some of the products I have been wearing daily...

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in the shade 005 'Silky Beige'
This is a cult product in the beauty blogging world. Since picking it up I have used it every day. It doesn't have much colour to it - so I wouldn't recommend it if you like your powder to give you great coverage. It is a great powder that does what it says and keeps me matte all day.

Skin 79 Hot Pink Super Plus Beblesh Balm
I absolutely love this! It's great for a tiny hint of colour, it comes out greyish and just blends into your skin flawlessly. It looks like you have nothing on at all, but helps to even out my skin. It also claims to be a 10 in 1 solution, including whitening and it also has SPF, so it is great for your skin. I use it instead of foundation for work, or for days where I don't want to wear foundation.

NYX Blush in 03 'Angel'
This is a cool matte baby pink coloured powder blush. It is a great everyday blush for me when I only want a hint of colour, so I have been reaching for it daily this month.

NYX Matte Black Liner
This liner is so extremely black and pigmented, I love it! It's retractable, so no need for sharpening which I love. I use this in my waterline and tightline and it's great for smudging into my lashes.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in 010 'Ivory'
This is a highlighting concealer that I use under my eyes. It's great on its own for a subtle look or if i want a more flawless look I'll put it over a concealer that hides my dark circles a little better. This is something I use on a daily basis and will be repurchasing.

Perfume of the Month: Paco Rabanne Black XS for Her

This is such a sexy scent! It is quite manly, with a floral yet spicy/woody scent. I've been wearing this for years now and have gone through quite a few bottles. It lasts all day and is a great night time perfume.

Food of the Month: Lemon Coconut Slice

I made this last week as I was procrastinating instead of doing an essay for University, and it is so yummy! I made double mixture and it is already all gone! I'll definitely make it again, everyone in my family loved it. If you have a sweet tooth you will love this.
You can find the recipe here.

Song of the Month: The Script - If You Could See Me Now
I went to see the script on the 6th of April at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne and they were absolutely AMAZING. This song is about the Danny's father who passed away I believe, and he sings it with such heart...

Mini Priceline Haul

Hey everyone :)
Those of you in Australia might know that on the 23rd and 24th of April Priceline had a huge 40% off all cosmetics!
I couldn't resist stopping by before my uni exam on Tuesday - and of course I picked up a couple of things, so I thought I'd show you what I got.

Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting Concealer - 10 Natural Beige

As you may know I have quite annoying dark under eye circles and am still on the hunt for my HG concealer so I thought I'd give this one a go. It promises 16 hour wear and I picked it up in the lightest shade, 10 Natural Beige.

Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick - 103

I already have one of the Kate Moss matte lipsticks in the shade 107 and a Lasting Finish formula in the shade 16 and love them, so I picked up this shade which I've had my eye on. It's a warm toned, medium pink and the formula is extremely creamy and opaque.

Face of Australia Lip Quench Moisturising Lipstick - Lychee Crush & Pink Champagne

I haven't tried this formula of lipstick before but have heard great things about them. I've been looking at these two particular colours for a while now and decided to finally pick them up.
Lychee Crush is a peachy nude shade which I saw on Lauren Beautyy's YouTube, and Pink Champagne is more of a pastel pink shade.

Maybelline Baby Lips - Anti-Oxidant Berry

Finally, I picked up a back up of my favourite Baby Lips. This is my favourite chapstick and I always have one on hand! It smells so delicious which makes it even better! :)

Have you tried any of these products? I get so excited to try out new beauty products :)
I love you all, have a great day!

March Favourites

Good afternoon, I hope you are having a lovely day.
I'm so sorry about the lack of posts lately - I've been drowning in uni and work!
Anyway, here are some things that I have been loving throughout the month of March.

Mac Soft and Gentle
By far my favourite highlighter that I have tried. This is a gorgeous champagne frost that gives the most perfect highlight and glow to the skin, making you look flawless! I'm not going to go into too much detail as this highlighter is a cult product in the blogger world so I'm sure you have heard a lot about it.

BeautyBlender
One of my favourite ever beauty purchases! This sponge applies foundation so beautifully leaving such a natural finish to the skin. I just wet it before I use it and it is so quick and easy! Love it!

Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
This has been my go to mascara ever since I received my order from CherryCulture. It gives such full, long looking lashes.
You can find my full review of this mascara here.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade '668 Primrose'
This has been my go to lip colour this month. It's such a pretty cool toned nude pink with slight blue undertones. I love Revlon lipsticks as they are so moisturising and don't tend to dry out my lips, and this is no exception!
You can see me wearing this shade in a previous FOTD here.

Perfume of the Month: David Beckham Signature for Her
A sexy and sophisticated fresh, fruity, floral scent. It's strong without being overpowering, and lasts all day on me. Smell it if you get the chance... And the best part - it's so affordable!

Food of the Month: Hot cross buns!
With march being the month of easter how could you not be loving hot cross buns! I've been eating them for breakfast and lunch lately toasted with a tiny bit if margarine :) yummy!

Song of the Month: Heart Attack by Demi Lovato

Review: Too Faced Natural at Night Eye Shadow Collection

I’ve had a love affair with the Too Faced brand ever since I discovered it last year. Last month I did a review on the Too Faced Natural Eye Shadow Collection, which you can read here. Since I showed you that one, I thought I would introduce me to another love of mine.

What Too Faced says:
Introducing a sultry, nighttime version of our best-selling Natural Eye Collection! Intensify your evening makeup with this array of seductive, warm shadows that will take your look from sundown to night-on-the-town. These nine tempting shadows in a variety of highly-blendable matte, shimmer, and glitter textures add instant after-hours glamour to any natural look.

Like the Natural Eye Collection, this palette also comes with three ‘Glamour Guides’ which show you how to create a classic look, nighttime look and a fashion look.

The nine (2 matte, 3 glitter, 4 shimmer) shades included in the palette are:

Full Moon – a glitter light bronze
Nightcap – a medium bronze shimmer
Cocoa Star – a deep matte chocolate brown
Night light – a champagne glitter
After Hours – a medium taupe shimmer
Eclipse – a deep taupe shimmer
Spotlight – a matte bisque
Moon Stone – golden olive shimmer
Night Fever – deep olive brown with gold glitter

Like its ‘daytime’ version, the colours in the palatte are absolutely stunning. It includes great everyday colours that last all day; especially when using a primer. The shadows are so highly pigmented and super easy to blend.

I get a ton of use out of this palette for both daytime and nighttime looks, and would encourage everyone to stop and check out this palette if you ever get a chance – you won’t be disappointed.

You can pick this up at Kit Cosmetics in Australia for $53.96 or online at BeautyBay for $38.99.

Have you entered my giveaway? It would mean so much to me if you did! You can check it out here :)

Review: Too Faced Amazing Face Liquid Foundation

I have been using this foundation for about 4 months now, and it is by far my favourite foundation that I’ve ever tried! I am so surprised that I hadn’t stumbled across too many reviews of this product, so I thought I would share my thoughts with you.

What Too Faced say:
Our oil-free, skin smoothing liquid foundation provides the illusion of airbrushed skin in seconds. Complexion concerns disappear as the weightless, silky formula glides on skin delivering undetectable coverage, with luxurious skincare benefits. You will always be ready for your close up!

I don’t have the best, most flawless skin ever. It’s quite uneven, has redness, and I suffer from the dreaded oily T-zone.

I spotted this foundation last year in Kit Cosmetics because of the cute looking glass bottle – I’m a sucker for cute packaging. I was really hesitant to try a foundation that had more of a dewy finish because I didn’t want to accentuate my oiliness. However, because the foundation itself was oil-free and paraben free, I went for it and picked up a sample in the shade ‘Perfect Nude’. As soon as I was running low on my sample I didn’t hesitate to go out and buy the full size bottle!

It also claims to:
  • Erase Imperfections - Created with our advanced Light Refraction Technology that visibly reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines by diffusing and reflecting light.
  • Wrinkle Relaxing - Bio Transformed Botanicals soften and relax the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles.
  • Close-Up Coverage - Real Skin Technology allows for “close up” perfection. Weightless in finish and feeling, foundation coverage adjusts to skins’ ever changing needs.
  • Skin Balancing - Natural Bark Extract absorbs excess oil while keeping skin hydrated and fresh.

I definitely agree that it helps to erase imperfections, makes my skin look great close-up, and has skin balancing properties – but I don't feel like I can comment on the wrinkle relaxing claims, as I haven’t really experienced it myself.

I would describe it as a medium coverage foundation, and covers my redness and events out my skintone whilst looking quite natural on my skin. I absolutely love the more dewy finish this leaves on my skin, as it doesn’t look so flat like matte foundations can.

I use this foundation with a primer & powder religiously, and sometimes with a makeup finishing spray and it stays put on my skin all day (I don’t carry around powder to touch up with). It glides onto my skin so smoothly and doesn’t streak on me at all, just make sure you shake the bottle before you use it!

Don’t be put off by the fact that it doesn’t have a pump – it actually doesn’t bother me at all, and I don’t find it hard to get the perfect amount of product out of the bottle.

I love the look this has on my skin, and will be repurchasing it before the bottle runs out! Definitely my go-to foundation!

I used this foundation in a previous FOTD, which you can find here.

You can purchase the Too Faced Amazing Face Liquid Foundation from Kit Cosmetics in Australia for $53.95.

Review: Too Faced Natural Eye Shadow Collection

Lately I've been absolutely loving the brand Too Faced after discovering it last year. This eye palette in particular has been my go-to eyeshadow palette for a quick and versatile everyday look.

I find these eyeshadows blend with ease and the colour stays perfectly all day long. It's also a great palette for packing into your makeup bag as it is quite lightweight and sturdy so it doesn't feel like it's going to break on you. The packaging itself is also really cute which is a bonus!

It also comes with three 'how-to' cards - which I've actually never used - but I'm sure could be handy for some people!

The palette includes 9 shades - 3 matte & 6 shimmer:

Heaven -  a cream matte
Velvet Revolver - a matte taupe
Sexpresso - a matte deep brown
Silk Teddy - a peach champagne shimmer
Push Up - a light bronze shimmer
Erotica - a soft charcoal shimmer
Nude Beach - a champagne shimmer with gold glitter
Honey Pot - a gold shimmer
Cocoa Puff - a warm chocolate brown shimmer

The range of colours is great! You can create toned down 'barely there' eyeshadow looks or more dramatic looks using the darker colours in the palette.

This is how Too Faced describes the palette:

The Natural Eye, Neutral Eye Shadow Collection, contains everything you need to create the pretty, soft, and slightly sexy "natural eyes" you've seen on super models and celebrities and have always wanted to perfect for yourself. The three easy-to-follow, step-by-step Glamour Guides lead you through every fun step to insure a professional looking application every time!
(taken from here).

If you are on the lookout for a new 'neutral' eyeshadow palette I's definitely recommend you checking this one out.

You can pick it up from Kit Cosmetics in Australia for $53.95 or from BeautyBay for $36.09 with free shipping.

You can see a natural eye look I created with this palette in my last post.

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.
