Modestly Sophisticated's Questions:

1. Favorite perfume?

It changes all the time – but my favourite of all time is Paco Rababne Black XS, Paco Rabanne Lady Million or Roberto Cavalli EDP

2. Most used item this month?

My most used item would be my skindinavia makeup setting spray – it’s one beauty product I’ve used every day!

3. What new products have you tried lately that you'll repurchase and that you won't be repurchasing?

I recently purchased the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and I will repurchase that

I won’t be repurchasing the Neutrogenia ‘night calming’ make up removing cleansing wipes – I prefer the original version in the blue pack

3. Biggest pet peeve?

When people tap or continuously make an annoying noise!

4. Top 3 favorite pairs of shoes you own?

I don’t particularly have 3 favorite pairs of shoes

5. Favorite hobby or past time?

I loved spending summer at home on the Gold Coast with my family doing touristy activities.

6. Which celebrity would you love to meet if you could?

Ellen DeGeneres – I think she is the most amazing lady and such an inspiration

7. Favorite lipstick shade?

Revlon shade 660 – Berry Haute

8. What are the 3 top items on your current wishlist?

Sigma Mr. Bunny brush set

Macadamia natural oil deep repair masque

Naked palette

9. Favorite childhood memory?

Spending the summer at home on the gold coast

10. Do you plan on getting married? If so, where would be the ideal marriage destination for you? If already married, where would you love to live with your family if you could move anywhere you wanted?

I don’t necessarily plan on it. My parents aren’t married – I believe you don’t need to be married to prove your love

11. What's your favorite thing about blogging?

Getting lovely comments from other bloggers! And knowing there’s other people interested in the things I’m interested in

The Beauty 101's Questions:

1. What's the most you have ever spent on make-up in one go?

I don’t really know – but probably between $100-$200

2. What is your dream job?

I’m yet to find my dream job!

3. If you could meet any celebrity, dead or alive, who would it be?

Ellen DeGeneres – I think she is the most amazing lady and such an inspiration

4. What is your earliest memory?

Being on my sister’s back and she tried to take me as far as I could go under water holding my breath. She said she would come up when I tap her shoulder but didn’t and I felt like I was going to drown! Haha

5. Favorite nail colour?

I’m not too fussed. I love neutrals & pastels lately

6. What is your favorite film of all time?

I love so many! Recent favorites are ‘Taken’ and ‘Taken 2’

7. If you had one hundred pounds to spend on make-up, and you could only spend it on one brand, which brand would that be?

Probably Too-Faced, I’m almost out of my foundation so I’d replace that, and I seem to love a lot of their products.

8. What is your biggest fear?

Not being successful in life.

9. Have you ever thought about stopping blogging?

No!

10. Blonde or Brunette?

Brunette

11. Do you believe in love at first sight?

I haven’t experienced it but who am I to say it doesn’t exist

Hi everyone,

1.  What is your favorite color?

I don’t really have one, I’m loving anything pastel at the moment though.

2.  If you could be a super hero for the day who would you be and why?

Elektra – because she is the world’s most lethal woman and totally badass.

3.  What is one beauty product you can't live without?

Mascara, it makes you look so much more awake!

4.  What nail polish is on your nails right now?

Kleancolor Nail Lacquer in the shade 'Mocha'.

5.  What is your favorite flavor of ice cream or frozen yogurt?

I love cookies and cream.

6.  What is your favorite flower?

I think white roses are beautiful.

7.  L.A or NYC?

New York City.

8.  What was the last movie you watched?

Honey.

9.  What is your next blog post going to be about?

I think it will another life in photos post.

10.  What is your favorite food?

I’ve been loving calamari lately!

11.  What is a new product you are excited about for Spring?

It’s not coming into spring in Australia, however I’m excited that the Kate Moss  for Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick Collection has hit Australian shores – I already owned the 107 shade but am excited to try some more.

Deana’s Questions:

1.  If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I think I’d love to go to Europe or the Bahamas.

2.  What's the most embarassing thing that has ever happened to you?

Probably stumbling down the stairs after the X-Factor auditions in Melbourne in 2011.

3.  Makeup essential you can't live without?

4.  Chocolate or Candy?

Chocolate.

5.  What are your goals for the future?

To become more successful in the blogging world, complete uni with the best grades I can and to find a career that I love.

6.  What is one thing you regret?

No regrets, I obviously did it for a reason at the time.

7.  If you could go to any concert, who's would it be?

One Direction – I’m actually going this year haha.

8.  Where is your favourite place in the whole world?

I just love being at home on the Gold Coast in Queensland.

9.  Favourite clothing item at the moment?

A pair of jeans from Supre of all places!

10.  What do you do when you have free time?

I love hanging with friends and family or go shopping or blog :)

I’m loving Thank You by MKTO.

I’d love to be Blake Lively for a day, she just seems so amazing in every way.

I don’t know! I love heaps of different movies. Lately I’ve been loving the ‘Taken’ movies.

8.  Your favorite fashion or beauty magazine?

I don’t read any magazines regularly.

I also don’t really read books.

10.  Three things you don't like about the world?

Hate, poverty & war.

11.  Why did you start blogging?

I loved watching YouTube and reading blogs, but was way too scared to start making videos, so I wrote instead.

Liebster Award #4

Hi everyone,

I know I've already done two of these posts this week, but I don't feel like it's right of me to ignore someone if they have tagged me.

I'd like to thank the beautiful Rachel from Lust, Loves & Must Haves for nominating me :)

Rachel's 11 Questions:

1. Who is your style/fashion Icon?

I don't really have any but I love Blake Lively. I find more style inspiration from the lovely people I'm following on Blogger :)

2. What is your favourite beauty product?

My favourite beauty product changes all the time, but currently I think it would be my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in the shade Soft and Gentle.

3.How long have you been blogging for?

I believe it has been 3 weeks today! I've had a blast so far and thank you so much to everyone who has been kind enough to follow me, it seriously makes me so happy :)

4. What are your favourite blogs to read?

I love reading fashion and beauty blogs.

5. What piece of make up could you not live without?

If I had to choose one it would probably be a light/medium foundation. I feel like if your having a day when you don't feel great putting on a little foundation can help you feel so much better about yourself. A close second would have to be mascara, it makes me look so awake and I feel like it makes me look a lot better overall.

6. What is your favourite perfume?

I love so many different perfumes, but if I could only have one my favourite at the moment would be the Roberto Cavalli EDP.

7.What are your favourite beauty/fashion magazines?

I actually don't read any magazines. I'd like to start and I think the one I'd pick up would be Vogue.

8. What is your dream job?

I'm still trying to figure that out!

9. Did you make any New years resolutions this year?

I didn't. I would like to try and eat a bit more healthy though.

10. What is your favourite colour?

I'm not too fussy, I've never really had one particular favourite colour. If i had to choose one at the moment it would be red or pastel green.

11. What are you most scared of?

I'm scared of losing the ones I love.

Liebster Award #2 and #3!

I know I posted yesterday about my first Liebster Award, which you can find here, but I couldn't ignore the two nominations I received overnight.

I'd like to thank Starftsh and Laura from Laura's Fashion Fix for also nominating me!

Since I've already completed the 11 facts, 11 questions for my nominees and my 11 nominees, I'll keep it short and sweet and just answer the 11 questions each of the girls gave their nominees.

Starftsh's 11 Questions:

1. What inspired you to become a blogger?

I've watched YouTubers for such a long time but was always too nervous to create my own videos. At first I was also too nervous to even make a blog! Then a few weeks ago I was bored at home and thought, just do it! And SamanthaLusts was born.

2. Outdoor or Indoor?

Both, I’m usually an indoors person just because I don’t have my own pool or anything, but I also love being outside if the weather’s nice.

3. Least favorite makeup product you own?

Rimmel Glam Eyes Professional Liquid Liner. Ahh I hate this so much! I’ve only tried to use it a couple of times but the applicator is a ‘brush’ type that is so flimsy that I can’t even seem to get a straight line.

4.If you had the choice to see your future, would you take it?

No. I always say I wish I knew who I was going to be with in the future, but I don’t actually think I’d want to know my future – I’m too scared it’ll be bad!

5. Favourite music band/artist?

I’ve always loved Good Charlotte, Eminem and Lil Wayne. I also love random songs by so many artists, and I’m a lover of One Direction. So really a huge range of music!

6.Describe your fashion style.

I don’t really have one – I just see things I like and buy them. I really want to start getting more into fashion, and starting this blog has definitely inspired me.

7. What's one thing you can't live without, besides any type of technology?

My family. I’m such a homebody and I’m so close to my family. I hate not seeing them for a few days!

8. Favorite kind of shoes to wear?

I love sandals - I find them so pretty and comfy. In winter I love boots.

9. If you could had the chance to be on the cover of a magazine, what magazine brand would you like to be featured on?

I’ve never actually thought of this! I don’t read any magazines so I wouldn’t even know. I really want to start reading some magazines though.

10. Favourite makeup brand?

Lately it definitely has to be Too Faced. I discovered them last year and absolutely love everything I’ve tried so far!

11.What are two saying that you live by?

I don’t know if this is counted as a ‘saying to live by’ but I’ve been loving the quote:

“Watch your words, spread hope like fire, hear your voices, sing back louder”. This is from Angels and Airwaves’ song ‘Secret Crowds’ and I think it’s so meaningful that I’m thinking about getting it tattood.

I also love “for those I love I will sacrifice” but I still don’t really know if that could be counted as a saying to live by. Oh well, they were the first two quotes that came to mind.

Laura's 11 Questions:

1. One make-up for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

Mascara. Even though I’m not happy with my complexion I would try to even it out with skincare. I just find mascara makes you look so much better and more awake.

2. Favourite item of clothing?

I don’t have a favourite item, but I love anything comfy! I hate wearing clothes that I feel uncomfortable in!

3. What inspires your blog posts?

Other bloggers! I love finding new blogs and reading other people’s blog posts. Since starting this blog I feel like I’ve learnt so much and I’m having a blast doing it.

4. What's your favourite High Street clothes store?

I’m not sure if this is counted as high street, because I don’t think it’s called that in Australia. It’s a department store but I love Myer! I could spend all day in there!

5. What was the last piece of jewellery you purchased?

I purchased a necklace from Colette.

6. Where are you from?

Gold Coast, Australia, but I’ve lived in Melbourne most of my life.

7.  Heels or flats?

Flats for everyday use.

8. What is your favourite perfume?

Roberto Cavalli Eau de Pardum! It’s amazing!

9. Dream job?

I’m still trying to figure that out.

10. Why did you start blogging?

11. Do you have a middle name?

Yes I do, Louise – my younger cousin was also given the same middle name :)

I've seen so many great blogs be nominated and would never have expected to receive one myself.

I'd like to say a quick thank you to all of the lovely people who have followed me on my blogging journey so far, I've loved the experience and it makes me so happy every time I see a new comment or follower :).

1. I cannot sleep with makeup on.
2. I still love Disney and Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen movies.
3. I'm afraid of getting ill like my dad did.
4. I am in my final year of university & am worried about what I want to do after I finish.

6. I'm around 174cm (5'7-5'8) tall.

My 11 Questions set by Dawn:

     1.  What's your favourite TV show at the moment?
My favourite TV show that is currently airing is ‘The Block All Stars’. I get so into it that last year it inspired me to paint my own bedroom.

     2.  What's the best gift you've been given?
My favourite gift would have to be my Louis Vuitton bag and purse from my parents for my 18^th birthday. Also a lovely ring my brother got me for my 20^th birthday.

     3.  What's the worst job you've had/ Task within a job?
The worst job I’ve had was working in the Centre Management of a shopping centre. The owner was a bit crazy and we think he had short-term memory loss (it was very sad) but he would go on rants and believe everyone was corrupt or out to get him and would tell us to do the same thing over and over again because he didn’t believe we had already done it, which was quite hard to deal with.

     4.  Best date you've ever had
I’ve never actually been on a proper ‘date’.

     5.  Best memory from you're childhood?
I’ve had so many great childhood memories. I love all the time I spent with my family and our closest family friends.

     6.  Tell us an embarrassing story...
Thankfully I haven’t really had anything extremely embarrassing happen to me! Fingers crossed…

     7.  What's the one thing you can't live without?
Google! It’s the best thing ever invented. I Google so many things that I don’t know what I’d do without it.

     8.  Who's your favourite actor?
I love Liam Neeson in the ‘Taken’ movies, but I also like Josh Duhamel and Channing Tatum, or like looking at them, whatever…

     9.  Tell us about an embarrassing celebrity crush you have
Zayn Malik or Harry Styles. Shhh..

    10.  Do you have any regrets? If so what?
I don't have any regrets. Everything I’ve done felt like it was the right thing at that time, so there isn’t much point wasting the present stressing about the past.

    11.  What is your secret beauty regime?
I have to remove my makeup every single night; no matter what time I get home! I can’t even bare the thought of going to sleep with makeup on! I’ll also do my skincare routine – the only time I don’t do my skincare routine is if I’m not home for the night, but I’ll still remove my makeup!
